Introduction to pH in cosmetic formulations
pH is the measure of hydronium ion in aqueous solution. It is a quality parameter that tell us if the product is acidic or basic. For example, the pH of the skin is around 5.0-5.5 units and therefore, the facial cosmetic product must have similar pH level for it to be compatible with the skin and to prevent skin cells damage by irritation of high acidity or basicity

Cosmetic formulation is a process of combine various ingredients from natural and synthetic to make a product that is beneficial for skin aesthetic and development which is safe and hygienic. This includes facial/skin, hair, oral, colour cosmetic, antiaging, spa treatment etc.
